We were invited to @orrfamilyfarm in December of 2020. It was a treat to receive a private tour of the farm from Dr. Glenn Orr. We even saw behind the scenes of his glamping and activity expansion. Orr Family Farm offers year round glamping in Conestoga Wagons and Tipis with access to 15+ activities such as fishing, giant slides, jumping pillows and the barnyard.
Upon check-in we were given complimentary bottled water, roasting sticks, smores and feed for the animals. One of my favorite features was the wagon cart that was provided to carry our things to the tipi. We had a private bath house and a huge community fire pit with outdoor sinks for those sticky smores. Our tipi was gorgeous in every way. Hand painted murals inside and out with the most comfortable king size bed and bunk beds too.
A converted stable houses a swim spa and hospitality room where you can wash laundry, buy snacks and make free coffee. The farm is on 108 acres and hosts 18 wagons and 5 tipis with two more on the way. Dr. Orr says he has had the tipis for two years and the wagons for three. He was inspired to bring tipis to his farm to showcase the true American west in Oklahoma, formerly known as Indian Territory. The popularity of his glamping has tripled due to the pandemic. The farm activities were closed all of Spring 2020 and he is grateful to have the glamping rentals as income; which kept them afloat.
